What is your view on black cohosh ?

Native Americans have used the remarkable herb black cohosh for centuries to combat female hormone problems - earning it the nickname 'squawroot'. More recently, research has proven that it helps relieve menopausal symptoms arising from declining oestrogen levels in the body, such as hot flushes, night sweats, depression, anxiety, insomnia and a reduced sex drive. In Germany, in fact, it is widely pescribed for this as a safer alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT). An ideal dose is 4 mg of the active ingredient, 27-deoxyactein, every day.
